RENO, NV-An emergency fund has been set up by the Reno Chapter of Nevada Bighorns Unlimited (NBU) in cooperation with the Nevada Department of Wildlife to raise money for use in wildfire rehabilitation efforts.
Summer wildfires burned nearly 1.5 million acres in Nevada this year, two thirds of which were in the state's Elko County. The NBU-Nevada Wildfire Disaster Fund was set up to give individuals and interested organizations an opportunity to donate money to help pay for the purchase of seed and its dispersal over scorched winter ranges.
