I fished Deep Creek today for a little less than 4 hours. I caught fish close to the bottom in 4 feet of water to 25 feet of water as well as suspended. I used similar things that I did at Devil Creek last week and found the fish willing to take just about anything I put down the hole. Fishing was good but not as fast as it was at Devil Creek Last week. The only fish I caught were this years planters. No carry over fish or wild fish that I could identify.

I measured the ice in my holes at only 3”-3.5” but it was clear solid ice. Part of the reservoir that was frozen over last week is now open water. Most of the open water was on the SE end of the reservoir. It was still 80%+ ice covered. It rained and sleeted most of the time. Be careful if you ice fish any of the reservoirs around Malad or Preston the next few days. The ice will be questionable at best.
