I'm going to be putting in a lot of late nights at the office till Christmas, but at least I'll be living it up at Mead from the 26th to the 29th. That's right. We're good to go on the 4 day houseboat trip. I'm even taking my new girl on the trip. Any woman who wants to be with me will have to love fishing...and especially love Mead. That's not too much to ask for, is it???

Anyway, we'll be leaving out of Temple Bar again. It's a shame some of you guys don't fish on the AZ side of Mead. I know it's going to be just gorgeous this time of year. Hey, Baysport...how about lending me that sweatshirt? We're going to be in for some really cold nights on the lake. I do most of my fishing through the night so I'm going to need some thermals and ski clothes. It'll be nice and toasty in the houseboat though. The heater on board is amazing.

I'll make sure to take a lot of pics this time around. I plan on hitting Teal Cove, Delmar Butt, and maybe Gateway Cove. If you're in the area, feel free to stop by. I'm pretty certain we'll be the only ones crazy enough to be cruising that area of the lake in a houseboat during the middle of Winter.

If any of you do have fishing reports for the Temple Bar area, please let me know. Thanks.

Best regards,

Paul

I'm not giving up the Merc sweatshirt. You will have to steal your own Smile Check that houseboat before you leave, maybe someone will leave something behind that you can claim.

Thanks Dave, I hope to do well in the cooler temps. Where is Dale Hallow Lake? What's the fishing like? Scenery? I'm always interested in checking out new lakes.

Best regards,

Paul

I've got an idea. Since you're going to be fishing Mead everyday next week, why don't you rent a houseboat? There are good deals for the weekly rentals (and 4 day rentals). Check out www.foreverhouseboats.com Then make sure to leave the Merc sweatshirt in the houseboat so that I can use it during the following week. You wouldn't want me to freeze while I'm fishing at night, would you?

Best regards,

Paul
