[cool][#0000ff]Brett Prettyman's column in the Tribune this morning talks about the soon-to-be-created warm waters fisheries program within DWR. We already knew about that.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Worthy of note, however, is the recognition of Drew Cushing, a well known DWR biologist and a member of BFT. Many of us have had interaction with Drew in the Youth Fishing Program, and we all like and respect him. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Drew recently was given an award for all the work he has done in developing the community fisheries around the state. He is also being strongly considered to fill the position of the new director for the warm water program.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hats off to Drew and best wishes in the warm water fisheries selection process. DWR could do much worse than picking Drew for the position. He would get my vote...if I COULD vote.[/#0000ff]

TD Cast that ballot anyway old friend. List your reasons when you do. You never know it may sway someone who reads it.

Drew has done a fantastic job with the Community Fishing Programs and he will be sorely missed if he moves on.
He will leave some very big shoes to fill.
I wish the best for Drew. He could do great things for warm water fishing in Utah.
