We drove by Newton tonight and its completely capped. Down by the boat ramp there were a couple of holes drilled out to the south west of the ramp we walked out to them it looked like they were drilled yesterday,we tried to break through by stomping on them but couldnt get throu to see how thick it was,I would guess at least 3 " of solid clear ice. Lots of rocks have been thrown out just west of the ramp so be carefull with you augers[] . Good luck MMH

WH2, we didnt make it over there this year ,my bro inlaw fished it a few times and cought some smaller muskys in the mid 20" range and a few cats but thats it! We watched a guy catch a bunch of bass on the rocks in late june that had some size to them so there are still a few in there. MMH
