I'm thinking of going to Huntington this Saturday to see if I can get a bigger Tiger for the ice contest. I have'nt been down there since the 7th of December. Does anyone know if it's still hot?
[cool][#0000ff]The "hot" time for Huntington is within the first week or two of freezing. Fishing can still be good through the winter, but the snow depth and ice thickness tends to discourage all but the most dedicated masochists. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The last report I had from last week was that there was over a foot of ice, with frozen slush on top of that and a foot or more of snow on top of that. The really bad news is that the snow is drifted deep along the shoreline and it is a summagun to fight your way to the lake. Unless you have good snowshoes and a high riding sled, it will be "fun".[/#0000ff]

TD got it mosty right.. there is a trail through the deep snow to the lake down by the dam. still a tuff walk tho. and from what i heard the other day there is some slush parts out there that are the braking through kind.. you know take a step brake through and step in 2 or 3 inches of water .. not fun for me even my snowmobile dont like it when it's like that.
