I spotted one guy on Echo on Wed. the 20th, on the East side, when I drove up to Coalville.

[cool][#0000ff]Heard a report of fishable ice on Echo but only small perch. There are still thin spots so be careful.[/#0000ff]

When we drove by Pineview yesterday it had a full cap, but it probably was very thin Didn't see any fisherman on the ice. Shouldn't be much longer.

What about East Canyon, it should be solid?

[cool][#0000ff]Last I heard it was still liquid. But, early January should be about right. I think that is when it capped last year. East Canyon is deeper and can take a bit longer.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'm sure there will be a report before the New Year.[/#0000ff]

Fished Echo yesterday. Edges are a little soft, once past them it is 3 inches of clear ice and 2 of cloudy ice. Two of us caught 16 in 8 hrs. All rainbows, one 18, a few 16 and some 13-14 inches. White jigs tipped with crawler or a green jig head tipped with crawler.
