Causey is good mid-day for small kokes.

Me and my dad are going to head back up to Scofield and see if we can't have better luck before we try somewhere new

Is there a specific kind of minnows that works better at strawberry and how do you fish with them

I prefer chub minnows, they stay on better than red sided shiners. Sometimes the tail piece stays on for multiple fish. I buy the mid sized ones and cut them into chunks about 1/2 inch big and then just throw it on my jig hook. I usually like white jigs (tubes, paddlebugs, foxee's) in 1/8 to 1/16 oz. Use a little smelly jelly as well. good luck!

I have not seen them at Cabelas but they may have them. I always get mine at Sportsmans in the cooler in the back of the store. As a last resort you can usually get some red sided shiners at the gas station at the junction in heber. I'm sure there are other places as well. Good luck!
