Hit Woodruff again last Friday.Excellant day with lots of wildlife sightings thrown in.Saw lots of cow elk and even some huge bulls right along the road outside of Evanston.Saw a big 4 point muley grazing along the creek coming out of Woodruff Res.One bald eagle hovering around and as soon as we crested the dam a pack of wolves or coyotes scattered from a carcass on the ice. They seemed rather large to be coyotes but couldn't really tell.As far as the fishin it was red hot.Actually caught alot of nice size cutts early in the day then the smaller 10-12 inchers took over. The bigger ones all went a solid 14-16 inches. We fished up till dark and between 4 of us we iced at least 50 fish. The ride home proved a little hazardous to my buddies Jeep.We spotted a large doe about 100 yards ahead next to the road, which was snowpacked, and we slowed down to about 40 mph and out she came.He hit the brakes but nailed her broadside. We pulled over fully expecting to pull a carcass out from under the Jeep but she was long gone. Our friends behind us said she got up and ran away so who knows. The Jeep did rather well but it will need a new grill and bugshield.Quite the day!
