Ok so I have been home for the holidays lately and have been bored... so I started reading posts from the other states.. has anyone noticed that most of the other states have very little posts compared to Utah.. any idea why?? is the BFT website sponsored here in Utah or has it just really caught on because of the great guys on the board??? way to make this a great site guys!!!

yep, i have noticed the same thing. I moved from Utah to TN about a year ago and had grown to appreciate the shared information and comraderie on the Utah boards.
I was expecting the same sort of experience in my new environment...WRONG! lol
The TN board is absolutely dead. I posted a lot of reports for a while and tried to generate responses, input..whatever and only had maybe one or two peeps reply (from TN) for many months. The odd thing was most of the threads would get viewed often..some up to 70 views...but no responses.
I think it has to do with fisherman who also browse the internet a lot and then after "finding" BFT...they feel comfortable in slowly "joinin the crowd". That's exactly how i became involved with BFT.... searched the 'net, found BFT, lurked for a while, then signed up and joined the melee...lol
Apparently, Utah has the right mix of PC users and fisherfolk.

Time and word of mouth will get a board to grow.........
I have been networking alot to get the Idaho board built up with members and reports but it takes time.

Alot has to do with the hard work of the Mods on the board. The rest of it is from having so many wonderful fisher people that like to share their time and experiences with others.
I move from UT to SoCal. It is hard to get anyone to share anything worthwhile in SoCal.
We all keep trying though. Have a Happy New Year.[cool]

Form what i have seen, UT is the most used of all. The ID board is growing slowly but surely. I visit it often to try and get a little action from them. BrianID, Fish1on, and some others are dedicated, but there are not too many others that reply. I lived in ID for 5 years and have a great respect for that state and the oppertunities that await. It makes me feel better to read reports once in a while.
