Sorry about the late report and like always no pic's. I fished Echo on the Eastside by the big Bluff. Found Perch at 30-33 feet off the bottom. Lot's of small Perch with a couple of nice one's. Rainbow's 15 feet under the ice. Pound to pound and a quarter. There is 4-5 inches of clear ice.
Next day went to Rockport found Perch at 38-42 feet, Had to work hard for them. Got two limits, me and the dabomb. Caught one trout 21/2 pounds. 4-5 inches good clear ice. Edges are starting to soften. Went back next day caught 25 Perch no trout. Alot tougher bite.
Dropped by Rockcliffs at Jordanelle. Fished in about 14 feet of water. Caught small rainbow. Might be another week or two till the ice forms to the bouy to get those Perch. 6 inches of good ice.
Took off to Otter Creek the day after Christmas. It was really nice to have an extra paid vacation day to play. 400 miles round trip caught 2-3 pound fish All day. T-shirt weather. They're catching them every where on the lake. By the way that was last springs planters that is the 2-3 pounders. That lake can grow them fast. 5-7 inches of good safe ice. Ready to do another 4 day weekend
