[cool][#0000ff]Well folks, we are just about finished with 2006. For some of us it has been great. For others it is has been a year they would rather see done and over. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]There have been both joys and tragedies among our BFT members the last year. We will all miss Yper. And many of you do not know about it, but we also lost one of our younger members...KraizeeGee, who also used the name XXwalleyeXX. His was a and tragic end. We may have other losses I do not remember or have not heard about. Sorry if I omitted something.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Of course we also lost Doug Miller. No matter what our personal opinions of Doug, we all had to respect his accomplishments and all he did to improve our outdoor enjoyment in Utah. He is missed.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Even more of our members experienced serious health problems during the past year. Some are not likely to ever be active again. Fortunately, others have recovered and we are happy to be able to see them back on the water...and ice. We wish everybody the best, and we must all be thankful for the good health and blessings most of us take for granted.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I have had a good year all around. I have been able to accomplish many of the angling goals I set early in the year, and have caught fish on almost every one of my 93 fishing excursions this year. I did not get to hit all of the waters I targeted at the first of the year, but I really smacked the ones I fished often. I also missed some of the species I wanted to add to my list this year, but made up for it in numbers on other species.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Best yet was that I have been able to meet many more BFTers this past year, and have enjoyed sharing the water with a lot of you. I look foward to meeting even more members next year. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We have a pretty neat family here. And, by the looks of the new names on the board, we are growing quickly. I have my work cut out for me if I want to keep up.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Thanks also to my fellow mods...BearLakeMack and Petty4Life. I keep the highest profile here, because I am a wordy SOB. But,this board would not run without everybody doing their part. Hooray for dose guys.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Most of all, thanks to all of you members. You make it easy to be moderators. Not much us mods have to do most days except read and enjoy the posts and pics just like everybody else. We have a pretty well behaved group of anglers who do a great job of reporting trips and contributing good information when other members post questions.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Sniff, sniff. Here is a cute e-card for everybody to enjoy.[/#0000ff]
