So I took some advice and tips from Bkidder and went to currant creek today... I had two goals #1 try my new Marum LX3 flasher and (more importantly) #2 show my wife how fun ice fishing can be... she HATES ice fishing because she is too cold and has not had a lot of luck...
We headed out at 730 this morning and got on the water at about 930... within 2 minutes she had her first fish... a nice 16" cut.. I took that fish off and put on another wax worm and helped her drop it to the right depth... I then started to tie up my pole.. bingo she got another one... she caught probably 6 fish before I even got my pole rigged up...
All told we caught at least 60 over a four hour period.. and we missed a lot of fish... we both have two pole licenses and there were times we had fish on three or even four poles.. The smallest was about 12" and the largest was a nice 18" cut...
Bkidder you saved my marriage ( well at least my future ice fishing with my wife)... she had a GREAT time...
By the way the LX3 was awesome, I dont know why I ever fished without one...
I only had time to take two picture..
