Well I learned something today. I learned that I will not be back to East canyon this year. All we caught were planters, if you have some scouts that need to catch a fish, EC is the place. Pink seemed to be the color of choice.

I hit EC today with Bassturd and some friends. Very slow for us. We fished and fought the wind over in the south end. I managed 1 and lost 2 on my special white/ glow Petty jigs. Not too many people by us, but there were alot by the Taylor Hollow pull out. Seen alot of people moving but did't hear alot of whooping and holloring. Guess I should have went over by the ramp. Did any of you have a radio on? I called out a couple times on 16-0 but never heard anything back.

bummer the fish were so small, but it sounds like the catching was fun. I took a son up there on new years day. fished just off the dam, so I didn't have to pay to park. fished in about 40 feet of water we caught over 30 in a couple hours and several of them were 14-16 inches. white worked best for us that day.

It was a great day on the ice. The new ice shelter worked great. Heater worked great nice and warm inside. Did not seem to matter what color once the bite started, Also got them at diffrent depths.
There were two times that Me and Little rileyfish had doubles on. The day started out a little slow at first, But then picked up and took off. Started at about 9:00 am and Left at 1:00. Great day. Thanks Jason and Jaden.
Elkaholic, Called out three diffrent times on 16, No answer. Sorry dude. There was a white Dodge pick up in the parking lot by us on the boat ramp with a BFT sticker in the window when we arrived. Also had a raiders sticker on the back. Not sure who it was.

The truck you are talking about belongs to Slimerslayer I believe. I'm suprised I couldn't hear you guys on the radio. Maybe you called out when I was coloring the ice. Next time I'll have to try it over by the ramp. Last year it was not good to me and the south was. So far this year the south is being mean.

Yep...that was me.I thought about scraping that Raider sticker off after another fabulous season but didn't want to scratch my paint.Anyway...we went about 400 yards off the ramp to the left and fished in 27 ft of water.Between 2 of us we iced at least 40 slimers.Most were planter size but 7 or 8 were the nice fat crappie stuffed toads.Thank God I had the Quickfish 3 that day.Mr Heater worked as advertised and shut off when a gust came up and collapsed one of the walls and knocked the heater over.Oh well, it lit right back up again.That wind was crazy in the afternoon! When the bite slowed down later in the day I actually put some Powergoo on an egg hook and they wouldn't leave it alone.
