Fished with my son today in the narrows. Started slow and got even slower. Fished the same area as before with 10 miniscule perch, 5 crappie, and no hook-ups on tigers. Ice is still ok, but the edges are softening up a little. Some water but not much.
I met up with Fishingwaters, and Rileyfish. Good to meet you. Someone else but i don't recall their name.

I'm going to give Pineview a try on Tuesday.
I hope that there are a few fish left!
I will be on channel 7-0 if anyone goes and wants to give me a shout.

yeah, the narrows is definitely dead now for some reason. I got in on the tail end of things. Only 3 crappie total in 4 trips. Ugggh. Well, I did get into some serious perch action for the first two trips.....every drop to the bottom resulted in perch. Some toads. But now the perch have vaporized too. Wonder where they moved. Checked the cemetery point and port launch area......both were dead. Some guys caught 3 perch in like the whole day. Lol, I would have quit or moved in less than half hour. I just don't have that kinda patience. Yeah, and no muskies either. Ended up getting only 4 perch at the Sunday narrows congregational.[Wink] Didn't see our priest Tubedude anywhere to lead the masses in a prayer for the fish to appear.[sly] Only stayed for an hour.......it was just too boring!!

Oh yeah, some guys were still fishing large balls of powerbait. They were shocked to hear that there's few trout in Pineview. lol.
[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]There were people using salmon eggs a week ago. I gave him some waxies to improve their odds but, frankly, if you don't have a clue, even the right bait isn't going to help.[/size][/black][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]It started off strong last year too and tapered off after a few weeks. The only good thing is that the crappies are much bigger this year.[/size][/black][/font]

Me and my dad fished pineview also today at cemetery point. This might say redbeard posted it but its fish_slayer.. the log in is messed. anyways. Got up there about 9ish and drilled acouple holes to find a school with the finder. we put down with some jigs about the size of pattlebugs. nothin. I switched to a ice fly and got a fish right of the bat, and another and another. so we switched all the poles to ice flys. We ended up with 90 perch between us and could have got our limits in about another 10 or 15 minutes but we decided to go home around 3:30 because of the wind and were gettin a little bored with the fish since we are use to the cutts at strawberry. The biggest were 5 fish that went 9 1/2 inchs and the smallest about 3 1/2.

This is my first time trying to post a pic so it might not work...

Hey Brody,

That wasn't me with Fishing waters. Somebody inpersonating me. Dont know who it could be. Unless it was petty. He always wants to be like me.

"There were people using salmon eggs a week ago"

I hate to say it, but i have caught quite a few perch on salmon eggs. When nothing else works you start to improvise.[Wink]

LH2 I was fishing with Waterat. I didn’t do to good. However Waterat and his friend caught a few Crappie and dozen perch some a good size.

We did good up in the narrows Friday and Saturday. The perch were thick out towards the mouth but no crappie. We finally got into the crappie out from the house. Saturday there were some snowmobiles out on the ice. Do you or anyone else know if it is OK to run fourwheelers out on the ice at pineview? Thanks. Fish On.

Didn't you go to E.C. with Petty last weekend? Maybe that is why i was thinking it was you.
[signature]
Yep, I was there with them. If I remember you were going to go but it was the day after your mishap at piney and Jason said something about you having to fix the dishwasher or something

Yep, had to go buy a new one. The one i had wouldn't do what i told her to.[shocked][angelic][pirate]

I see them out there every year when the ice is safe, and I have been out there with mine and have never heard of anyone getting a ticket.[Smile]

Hey packfan, Thanks for the info. I have had mine on there a few years back but heard that they might have changed the law in the last few years. Pineview is not on the list of state park resovoirs. Do you know who runs it? It is going to be cold out there this weekend according to the forcast. Can`t wait. See ya out maybe.

Pineview is managed by the forest service. The office is located next to the Union Station in Ogden you could contact them there.
