So Luke72 and I decided we needed a little break form sanity and pack up our floating devices to go do a little fishing at a mystery lake. Any way we got there about 730ish and got all aired up and started to fish. Well Luke caught the first fish after about 30 minutes a nice little Largemouth Bass, than he followed that up promptly with Toad of a Bluegill. Than I decided to long line 2 gillies right at my feet. Than all the fishies decided it was a time out and we did not catch anything for a while we kicked around the lake for a while. As I was kick past some docks I though my new spinner I had just picked up and hooked this nice LMB who swam away so he could come play another day. After this hook up I worked the dock for a while and nothing. Back to kick-en around. Luke was marking a bunch of feet so I move over to him and proceed to get into the Gills. Over the next couple of hours I landed about 12 Gills all coming on pretty much a small white jig with white head and red eye. Well while I am playing with the gills Luke decided to hook up with a nice LGB that was 14.5 inches and FAT, and quickly followed it up by one that went just over 15". All nice fish. And than all of a sudden it turned off. No more gills no more bass nothing, so we decided to call it a day, it was no around 3pm so we headed in packed up and left. All in all it was a good day stared out about 18* when we left it was 28 according to my truck. The breeze picked up a few times but never very bad, hell by strawberry standards it was dead calm .. hehe. I think we got lucky as the forecast was not suppose to be so good. Here are a few pics of the outing, as I forgot to check battery in my camera and it died. We brought the 2 smaller LGB and 2 gills home for some tacos, all others we thanked for playing, patted on the tail and sent a swimming.

[cool][#0000ff]Sorry I missed out on all that tropical paradise fun. I usually don't go over there until daytime temps are above freezing. Even though the water is warm, the cold air and wind are not my favorite fishing conditions. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Let's plan another trip over in February, and go for some tilapia too.[/#0000ff]

Sounds good to me. Let me know when it gets a little closer and i can make all the necessary arrangements. We were planning on hitting the smaller ponds but did not pay to much attention to the time. I guess that will happen from time to time.
