Better late than never, right? Last Saturday afternoon I popped up to Pineview for a little R&R after helping my bro with some flooring at his place. I was fishing the narrows towards the SW end. I noticed a few people catching perch on the North side of the lake, but it was too crowded for my liking. I started catching perch fairly soon after I cut my first hole. After 20 or so fish, the bite slowed. I moved all of about 30 yards and drilled another hole and started catching fish right away. I ended up with 45 when I left. Probably could have limited but I was freezing with all that wind, and I wanted to leave at 4:00. I was really hoping to run into some crappies, but had a great time with the perch. Ice fly tipped with a wax worm 12" below a Sweedish Pimple was my setup. I noticed that some of the fish had minnows in their mouths. The fish size ranged from born-yesterday to about 9". It seemed like I was in about 40-50' of water. Started fishing about 1:30ish.
I hope I attached the proper icon. From what I remember, this was the symbol for a fishing report. Correct me if I am wrong.
