[center][green][/green][font "Poor Richard"][size 3][green]Hi there poky-mon. I have included a map for your reference. Sun City is about 80 miles from Indio. About a ½ hour drive for the California crazies. [Tongue] But figure on about 90 minutes if you are new to the area. There are numerous bodies of water in the area. This web site will list all the major lakes/reservoirs in California. Click on the Southern Region. Perris Reservoir is 15 miles from Sun City and Lake Elsinore is 10 miles away. Largemouth bass, channel catfish and bluegill are the major fish catch. A variety of trout maybe stocked in these lakes. Don't know how the fly fishing would go for the winds can be blowing pretty hard at times. Like gusts up to 50 & 60 mph. One would have to drive into the mountains to find some streams worthy of fishing. But this could be a problem in the winter with frequent snow storms one must have chains to get through. But with the snow comes the skiers and site seers that will clog up the roads making the drive a night mare. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.
