I need some advice from the Berry diehards out there,I have fished the lake alot of years on the soft water but havent put to much time on the hard deck and was wondering if the afternoon bite can be good or not.I might try a early afternoon trip saturday,I will have ATV'S to move around.I guess what I am asking is general areas I should try and depths I should start at, I would like to launch from the marina.I know what jigs to use and what to tip thim with from the other reports.Any advice would be great! Thanks!!

I have only ice fished Strawberry once. So, consider the source while I give you my two bits:

The afternoon bite was HOT for us … best part of the day! We were landing them as fast as we could put our lures back down in front of them. So I would say definitely give afternoon a go.

Use your ATV's to get the heck away from other people. Use a topographical map of the lake to find some points to fish on. Fish in about 30-35 feet of water off of a point.

Good luck. We'll watch for your report.[#002850][/#002850]

Generally, it is good in the mornings to about 10 am, slows down mid-day till around 2 pm, and then heats back up again.
