Pineview was good to my son and I today. We were on the north side of Cemetery Point, and further west than anyone else. Fished in about 40'+ of water. We iced over 30 perch. Most were about 9" with some going 10-11" (and fat).

It was slow when we started, but once we moved to deeper water we got into them. We checked on others on our way back that were fishing shallower water. They had fewer fish and the majority were dinks.

We just polished off a meal of fried perch fillets. Man, it was delicious. Coated them flour and corn meal, and seasoned with garlic salt and cajun. Can't wait to do it again.

I hit Pineview as well this morning, last minute solo trip. Ran the wheeler into the narrows at first light, set up in 50 feet of water and had 3 crappie on the ice before I ever got set down. Picked up a nice mixed bag of crappie and perch over the next few hours. Crappie ran 9-12 inches while the perch were split evenly between 6 inchers and 10-11 inchers. After I had enough for a meal I started running around the lake looking at depths in different places, playing around trying to find a random tiger. I had a handful of mid level cruisers early in the morning that I assumed were tigers, but when I reeled up to them I got no looks. I found perch in various locations, but nothing shallower then about 45'.

I have had 2 mid level takes at Pineview.
The first was a nice Tiger that broke me off at the hole and the other was big hard fighting CARP!
Talk about disappointing!
