I fished Swan Falls res today. Skunkola. Had to fish from the bank, as I'm not totally set up with tube yet. Would have been able to tube, but it might have been a wee bit chilly on the water.
Water level seems to be holding. It's clear. I fished everything from jigs, spoons, and spinners to baits. Didn't have time to throw many plastics. Several other people fishing the reservoir and the river below the outlet. Nobody was catching anything. No cats reported, no bass, don't know about sturgeon upstream.
One boater on the res, didn't see them hook anything in front of the dam.
Ice winter wind was blowing up the canyon, enough to tear the eyes if I looked up. I think it's too shallow from shore. I'm thinking the smallmouth are holding in water 25-30'? Would be nice to find the channel with sonar (wouldn't hurt to find fish as well [
]). Probably won't hit it again until I can tube it, maybe in about a month and a half.
