I'm glad I took the opportunity after work today to stop off at the pumphouse for a few hours. Many thanks to Chester for the guided tour and the use of his Marcum flasher. (That thing was sweet!) It took us a few tries to find the fish but once we did it was pretty steady. I don't know how much longer we would have kept looking as the ice was probably a good 14-15 inches thick.
It turned out to be a three species day for us with each landing at least one gill, perch, and white bass with the 4-6 inch whities being the most numerous. The two gills I landed were my first so I must call it a successful outing.
