Just curious as to whether anyone has fished CJ Strike recently, or any other southwest Idaho waters. I've heard some remote reports of decent fishing off the dam of CJ, for trout. Not sure if those are planters or not. Also heard of some perch in the same area, but it would be great to hear a recent report [cool]

I called over there to see what was happening and they said people were ice fishing out from the cottonwoods and catching perch and bluegill and some were catching crappie in the narrows out of a boat 40' down right off the edge of the ice.

Thx for the report [cool]

Unfortunately, I will be fishing from the bank. I am considering a return trip to Swan Falls Dam, and trying the south side above the dam. But Strike might be okay too. Hard to say, since I'm not familiar with the geography of either lake bottom. I know I need to get deeper than I was able to from the bank at Swan Falls last month. Cmon float tube!

I am hopeful, though, that the pressure will be a little less on superbowl sunday.
