Rocky Mountain Television Productions (RMTV) has been awarded the prestigious American Sporting Trade Magazine Award for Outdoor Television Productions of the Year! Programming provided under the leadership of renowed host and author Andy Lightbody was regarded as some of the best and most creative in all of 2006 by the AST Panel on Indsutry Excellence.
Commonly referred to as the ASTE ("astie" award for short), the glittering 24" gold and silver Victory Cup is considered by many to be the most prestigious and respected recognition in the Firearms Industry.
The winners were notified at the 2007 Shot Show, and presented with Victory Cups displayed in their booths for display to dealers, friends and envious peers. We thank RMTV for their participation in this rigorous selection process, and look forward to evaluating their latest innovations in years to follow.
Nominations for the specific categories are brought to the A.S.T. Industry Council on Excellence for review and consideration based on the criteria of Quality, Design, Innovation, Excellence in Manufacturing or Production, Creativity, and Market applicability and response. To be eligible, productions considered must be shown in their final production form during the calendar award year. Similar conditions apply for personal achievement awards. Winners are selected by a highly respected panel of journalists, industry experts and your fellow manufacturers, representatives, dealers and distributors.
American Sporting Trade Magazine is widely regarded as the most influential news-source in the Shooting Sports Industry and is hand delivered to every registered attendee at the SHOT SHOW, a list in 2007 of over 9100 rooms, with thousands more distributed to walk-in attendees.
