I will be down there from Saturday through Monday staying in one of the lakeside cabins. Anyone have suggestions for the best places to fish for rainbow and Splake? I have always done well in the boat over the in the "Cheese hole" area, has anyone done well over there through the ice?
Has anyone fished at Johnson's lately? Is it ice capped and accessible? There should be some moderate sized Musky in there by now.
Hopefully the "W" will not show up this weekend and everyone will have a great time up there.

hey fishN2Dmax I would have to say that johnsons is froze over but getting there is a different story they usually don't plow the road but maybe 2 miles past bowery haven. But with the light snow year if the drifts arn't to bad you may have a chance. When you check in talk to the desk clerk and they should know or can ask gary on the radio and he should definately know for sure.
