It is impossible to simulate the mental stressors of a combat situation, but it is very possible to simulate some of the physical characteristics that the body goes through during times of intense stress. When I attended Naval SRT training, the course does just that. We would swim an 800 meter canal in BDU's and when we got to land, run a mile up to the range to begin marksman drills. The physical abuse simulates the bodies reaction to stress. Tense muscles, shaking, and increased blood flow are some of the characteristics. It makes it very difficult to be accurate with a firearm when your body is going through those changes.

If you want to try it from home, it's simple. Do a vigorous cardio exercise for 15 minutes. Instantly transition from exercise to target shooting in an unsupported, standing position. See if you've got what it takes to hit your objective.[cool]

Does this mean i can shoot out the neighbors porch lights?[sly]
Seriously though, it is like running a half mile up a mountain and trying to hit a running trophy buck when you get to the top.
