Issues about anchoring and mooring boats in the Florida Keys are the topic of a Feb. 13 meeting in Marathon, sponsored by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
Commissioners directed the FWC’s Boating and Waterways Section staff to hold the workshop and allow local governments, stakeholders and the public to recommend solutions to issues about anchoring and mooring.
The workshop is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Marathon Government Center, 2796 Overseas Highway, Room 104, Marathon.
Any person requiring special accommodations to participate in the workshop is asked to advise the agency at least five calendar days before the meeting by contacting the ADA Coordinator at (850) 488-6411. If you are hearing- or speech-impaired, please contact the agency at (800) 955-8771 (TTY) or (800) 955-9770 (voice).
