[size 1]Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) say they anticipate that $6.6 million will be available for grant funds under the Florida Boating Improvement Program (FBIP) in 2007-"˜08.
The FBIP provides funding through competitive grants for boating-access projects and other boating-related activities on coastal or inland waters within the state.
The deadline for submitting grant applications for fiscal year 2007-08 funding is April 27. County governments, municipalities and other governments within Florida are eligible participants.
The FWC will conduct training sessions for potential applicants on the following dates:
