Well i met fish4fish this morning to fish his favorite water but the edges were gone so we made a trip to otter creek. The edges were not as bad there so we hopped onto the rocks and on the ice. The ice in the middle weas over 14 inches and my auger had trouble making holes today it is time for new blades!![Tongue] I finally got my first fish thru the ice and it was long overdue. Then i caught another one on a curly tail jig tipped with meal worms. Meal worms was the ticket today. The fish were 7-10 from the top of the ice. You could actually see them jitting your jig as you moved it around. Fish4fish was giving us bad luck today he made me lose one fish at the hole and another one came of the hook as he lifted it up luckily hr reached in the water and threw it on the ice.I ended with 3 nice fish around 15-17 inches and lost a couple at the hole and had several bites.Fish4fish did catch one 16 incher and released several small bows. The ice at the edges will probably gone before next weekend .As we were leaving the ice starting breaking as we were getting close to shore scary!!!!! Guess i am gonna have to hit the higher elevation lakes next weekend.

It sounds like the edges are getting soft everywhere, be careful if you go. It must have been a great day out there, I was stuck at work...I'm jealous.

Yeah otter creek will definitly be dangerous getting on there if the weather doesnt get cold soon. Fish would come thru like every 5 minutes. We started fishing at 28 feet then after a while we moved shallower and the fish would still come thru every 5-10 minutes. I am gonna stick to the higher elevation lake from now on. The ice cracking underneath us as we were walking towards shore was scary.
