Fished north of the rockpile today in 80 feet of water. Plenty of good ice still over there. They got about three inches of snow last night. We only caught a few dink cutthroat and one dink mac. I had one nice fish on this morning but he came off before I got a good look. Plenty of people with sleds and wheelers out there today. Plenty cold when we left. What little bit of slush that was on the ice from the new snow will frozen solid by tomorrow. That makes three trips in a row over there with slow fishing. Hopefully the fish gods will shine upon me one of these days for the all the time I have put in.
