I was lucky enough to make it up to Causey on Monday because of some dead Presidents (thank them all). We had a great time with a total of 47 fish on the day. We caught 36 Kokes in about 45 minutes from 9:30 to 10:15 and then it was over like it never even happened. It was as if some one flipped a switch on us. After all of that action we headed back to Skull Crack by Causey Estates and iced the other 11 trout, all of which were every small. We managed 1 tiger, 3 bows, and the rest were all splakes. All in all a great day to be out and about.[Smile]

Sounds like a great day on the ice. Those kokes sure are funny that way. They are there and usually hitting like crazy, then they move on, and it's all over. Good eatin' though.

how was the ice around the edges and how thick was it.

All of the edges were soft, we were lucky enough to use someones planks by the dam. The main bay by the dam was still about 14 in. and about 8-10 in Skullcrack. When we were leaving skullcrack the planks we used were picked up by the Xcountry skiers that brought them and we had to jump off the ice. Only one guy got a foot wet though![Wink]

Take a plank if your thinking about heading up there!
