Hit Pineview at around 10AM Thursday. Started at the narrows. Used a ladder to bridge the soft ice at the edge (although) it seemed fine going and again around 3PM when we left. The W--- was blowing hard but was warm. The temp was 56 degrees. the top of the ice was melting fast and it began to look like a shallow lake.

Fishing was pretty slow but we did manage a dozen or so perch and one crappie between the two of us. We had to do a lot of searching before we found a hole with fish under it.

At 3PM we decided to get off the ice at the narrows before we would have to swim back to shore. But again, the ice was still ok where our ladder was. We drove over to the boat launch and could see where some other folks had gotten on the ice and walked over to Browning point. We walked over also and fished for just a little bit. They had a few perch on the ice but not much going on when we arrived. We ended up catching just one dink perch. Headed for home about 5PM.

Sounds a little slow, but heck, at least you were able to get out and fish. Thanks for the report.
