Full Version: Bassmaster Classic starts; live action, weigh-in on TV

The $1.2 million Bassmaster Classic, featuring the top 50 professional and amateur anglers in B.A.S.S. competition, started Friday and will fish through Sunday on Lay Lake near Birmingham, Ala. The winning angler will collect a check for $500,000.
Portions of the event will be televised live and on tape delay on ESPN2 today and Sunday.

A review of Friday's action will air today from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Today's live on-the-water coverage will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Today's weigh-in will air from 10 p.m. until midnight following the completion of the NASCAR Busch Series race.
