[sly] For pike, a dead smelt under a tipup, and for walleye, a shiner on a live rig, or a fathead on a jigging spoon. For crappies, if their big, a fat head, if their on the smaller side , a crappie minnow or a waxworm. For a gill, a wax worm or freshwater shrimp. for perch, a head of a minnow on a jigging spoon. For tullipies, a wax worm on a small hook under a flasher. But alot has to do with what mood the fish are in , and what the water stain is like, and in some lakes that don't have shinners, that lake might not have a shiner bite, so you would go to a small sucker, or a chub ! Don't get stuck on one bait for that species, what works on one lake, might not work on another !!!
