AH UT LAKE WALLEYE,S.

I just talked to my brother-in-law last night, he lives in AF and they started catching walleyes down there in that country a week or so ago. Some of them have been nice big females but the eggs are still pretty firm so it will be a bit before they start. I have a picture of him and I two years ago tearing them up on the 4th of March in Utah Lake. Have fun down there it's only a matter of time. I didn't get to fish it with him last year but he said it was a pretty slow for them last spring but they always manage to catch a few. He has fished that lake for 35 years and pretty well knows how to catch them critters out of that dirty water. I don't like launching my boat in there unless he's with, scared of all the shallow areas I guess.[cool]

[#ff4040]A buddy and I used to catch a whole mess of them this early too. This year is different though, just because I haven't had much time...and I no longer have my buddy here with me anymore.[/#ff4040]

I was able to dig a picture out of a couple of Walleye the brother-in-law and I picked up 2 years ago on Utah lake in early March. I think we boated 27 that day and kept 7 or 8 to take home. We had a hard time catching them under 20 inches. [cool]

[#ff4040]Those are definitely some nice eyes! I can't wait...it's almost time to go check out UL. For some reason we had a hard time catching them under 20" also.[cool][/#ff4040]
