That's right guys and gals, ol' Bryan jumped on the wire job and got it done in under 6 hours. That's pretty impressive considering the cobbled up mess I had to work with. All in all, it wasn't bad at all. LOL Check out the high lights:
Isn't that just a mess! That's only part of it.
Remember all the little blue double splices, along with all the extra wire hanging around; littery. LOL
I'm halfway home by this point. I've got most of the old stuff cut out; which was a job. It really wasn't that bad tracing down what wires did what, once I got started getting jiggy wit' the snippers.
This is the brand electricians grease I used. It's suppose to be one of the best on the market. I coated every single connection with it.
This is a near finished product. Scroll back up and look at the difference. Before, the box wasn't even mounted to the console. There were like 40 things going to it that didn't even work. [unimpressed]
This is a finished product on the ground bus for the accessories. It was very easy to work with and as you can see, made installation easy and organized. This little fella runs right around 20 dollars at boatersworld.com
Finished product. What a difference a few hours makes!
This opened up alot of floor space. Of course, I wiped it up after I was done. It was pretty dirty as you can see. [

This is the old, out of date switch panel that was on the boat. And like they say, "out with the old................"
"and in with the new." This is the new 6 gand lighted panel I installed by Paneltronics. It's 100% waterproof and it was pre rigged. It runs right around 90 bucks.
As I said before, not too bad. The panel, bus, and all other materials (wire, connectors, grease, leads, wire ties) all run me about 150.00 for the complete install. All of which is priceless for the peace of mind i'll have knowing that everything is wired properly to a high quality panel. [cool]
