This has been the best offshore fishing I have seen in my 10 years of fishing Venice. We have been steady catching Monster Yellowfin Tuna ,
Big Wahoo ,
Blue Marlin ,
Bull Dolphin,
and sow Snapper

We have been averaging 5 big fish per day sometimes more, but at least 2 wahoo and 2 dolphin and a tuna thrown in. We had 13 shots on billfish in June alone. Most hit on 50 pound line as one would expect and lived to fish another day. Tagged our first blue on the new 32 Albemarle on Sunday June 25th after a 30 minute fight.
The Bluewater rip remained within 10-15 miles of the pass and we had no trouble finding fish on the morning and afternoon bites. On slow bites we stopped by nearby wrecks or deepwater rigs to fill the box with Amberjack, Snapper and Grouper. Had a 30 pound Gag last trip once we culled out the Amberjack. The big and little jacks have been hitting us before we can get to the snapper and groupers. It's been that good sometimes!
Fore more information on fishing Venice with Paradise Outfitters call 504-818-2176 or check us out on the Web!
