Anyone in the Pagosa Springs area who is interested in setting up a public shooting range is invited to attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m., March 20 at the Vista Clubhouse, 230 Port Avenue.
The meeting will be hosted by the Colorado Division of Wildlife, local law enforcement agencies and local sportsmen's groups.
A shooting range would promote shooting education and safety, provide a place for rifle and shotgun practice and other recreational shooting. The main topic of discussion at the meeting will be potential shooting range locations.
Private landowners who are interested in setting up a range or leasing land for a range are invited to attend.
