DNR seeks comments on International Falls area lake management plans (2007-03-12)<br />
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has recently drafted individual fisheries lake management plans for 11 lakes in northern St. Louis County. Fisheries managers use the plans to describe the past, present, and future conditions of the lake. The plans identify goals and objectives for the fish community and identify specific management activities planned for the lake in the next 10 years.

The lake management plans available for review at this time are:

Lower Pauness

Upper Pauness

Copies of the plans are available from the DNR Area Fisheries Office, 392 Highway 11 East, International Falls, Minnesota 56649. Call 218-286-5220 or send an email to jeannine.nelson@dnr.state.mn.us to request a copy. Comments will be accepted until March 21, 2007.
