Does anyone know if there is open water at all at Pineview yet? I cannot seem to get any answers from people who live there or anywhere else.

lol its a stinker that question! lol i tried for days to find out about the ice there. Yesterday, i finally drove out there.. Lots of people fishing, however i think no one wants to give their secret for the first shot at the muskie! there is some open water. not alot but enough for a tube or toon! enough answer without spillin the beans for those who want it secret? [cool]

I actually drove up there after work to take a look for myself and did find some open water. Not a lot though. Since I had my pole with me I decided to give it a try and it was a good thing I did because I caught nothing!! I expected that actually. It was nice just to see what the ice finally looks like.

Last year i caught a 43" tiger 2 days after ice off in anderson cove. Very lethargic and not much of a fight but a tiger none the less. I had 2 other hookups that day so i am hoping for a repeat this year.[cool]
