Full Version: ANGLERS ROUNDTABLE SCHEDULED FOR CORTEZ

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host an Anglers' Roundtable March 29 in Cortez to discuss fishing in the San Juan and Dolores river basins. The area includes all of southwestern Colorado from Pagosa Springs to the Utah and New Mexico borders and north along the continental divide near Silverton and west to Dove Creek.

The meeting is 6:30-9 p.m. at the Cortez Conference Center, 2121 E. Main Ave.

Aquatic specialists from the DOW will discuss fishing regulations, lake and stream management and overall fishery issues. Fish stocking plans for 2007 will be explained and the stocking schedule will be available. DOW biologists will also talk about the proposed removal of white suckers from Summit Reservoir.

Anglers and the general public are also invited to make comments and ask questions.

For those interested in the fish consumption advisories related to mercury in area reservoirs, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will hold a meeting at 6:30-9 p.m., April 3 at the Cortez Conference Center.
