Fishing Forum

Went down to Utah Lake with a buddy and fished near Saratoga Springs. Started fishing about 7:30 and had action right away. We caught several blue gill and some large mouth. We missed quite a few hits and had some friendly interaction with some carp. It turned off at about 9 and we didn't catch anything for about an hour and a half. Then right before we left, we caught a couple more blue gill and two more large mouths. Total for the morning was about 10 blue gill and 6 large mouths between us. Not a bad morning for fishing, especially when it was the first time out in a while.

[cool]Nice report. I'm going to guess that you were at the private docks area where most people can't fish at, right? I've heard there's a ton of fish over there in that area.

Yes we were in that area. If I understand correctly, the only part that is private is the land and the boat docks[], anybody can fish the water.

[cool]A-ha!! Gotta get me a boat in a year or two after I get back in a house. For now, the tube will be fun, and I get a pontoon this summer too...
