This is my first attempt at building a backyard playhouse. I started with 4-14' 4x4's cemented 2' in the ground and worked my way up without a drawing or blueprint. Thus far i am only into materials about $200 and about 3 full days of work. To buy one comparable would cost a grand. Granted it is not as perty as the kits but it is built from the heart and my brain alone. Not to mention a $700 savings. It is supposed to be for my sons b-day on april 1, but there is no way i can keep him off of it. It still has a rock climbing wall, sand box, staircase, steering wheel, and later on a swing to be added on. What does everybody think?

Looks great and probably stronger then then kits. Even better when you get the rest of it done.

Pretty nice Brody. I'll bet guage is going to enjoy the heck out of it. Now you just need to dig a large pit underneath and plant some fish!

Dug the hole tonight, fish will be here tuesday.[sly]

[cool][#0000ff]Ya don't fool me. You just wanted a higher platform for looking in the neighbors' windows at night.[/#0000ff]

Real nice. Its always better when you build it yourself. Your kids should enjoy it for years to come.
