My Dad and I went up to Echo on Thursday and had a excellent day. My Dad caught about 20 and I caught about 7. All were rainbows weighing about 1.5-2.0 lbs each. Most were quite beautiful, some were dark and ready for the spawn. We were using rainbow imitation tube jigs tipped with chub meat or worm. We fished from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Fishing was cyclical like the fish were moving in schools along the bank as it would get really hot then slow down for 30-45 minutes. We were fishing about 1/2 mile from the dam. I have included a photo of my Dad with one of his catches.

EDIT: unclicked inline so everyone can see pic-PETTY

Sounds like a great day fishing! I looks like you were fishing from shore. What size jigs were you fishing.

Thanks for the report! Ice off, fish on. Time to get the boat out of mothballs and get out fishing.

We were using 2" and 3" sized jigs on that day.
