Post Your Chesapeake Bay fishing Reports here.
I'll start:
March 26th 2007
Went out on my Kayak on the Magothy River, Spent 2 Hours trolling the Magothy at an average 16 foot depth.
No Catches for the Day, However my Hummingbird Fish Finder was pinging a decent amount of large blips running at about 10 feet in 16 foot depths in open water around the area where the speed limits drop from 15 to 6 knots

Date: March 27th 2007
Time: 6:00pm - 6:45pm EST
Place: Magothy River, Chesapeake Bay Tributary, Maryland.
Vessel: Ocean Kayak Drifter
Went out for a quick trip, ran allong Cocky Creek trolling tight circles between "boundry stone point" and "focal point".
Trip got cut by a fast approaching lightning storm before I got into any serious fishing. (Never paddled for the dock that fast in my life!!!)
Anyhow the trip wasn't compleatly shot: I managed to mark a the GPS cords where my Hummingbird sonar went insane with fish sightings.
39° 5'21.82"N
76°31'31.63"W
Plug that into Google Earth and you can see where I'm talking about.

No new info this week... sorry guys. The weather has been kinda on the bad side here in my area. Havn't been fishing since my last post. That and the wife has been sick.
Stripped Bass trophy season kicks off next weekend and the weather could be better. Predictions are showing it should be in the low 60's with possible rain. I'm hoping to see it get a little warmer. I'll take my Kayak out in anything over 60 degrees is the wind is not over 15 mph.
Hopefully I can get my Camcorder rig up and running by next weekend for some nice video of my first attempt this year to get a Trophy Striper on a Kayak.

Weekend 1 of the Trophy Stripper Season was a Bust.
5 hours on the water. Nothing to show for it but mild sunburn and aching muscles.
I havn't heard anything good in the way of fishing reports anywhere north of the Bay Bridge. If anyone else has heard anything Please Post.
The weather we had early this month was colder then usual for this time of year and may have affected the location of the stripers. Cold weather and Heavy rainfall may have kept them in the south bay. Hopefully the warmer temps this week and next will improve the chances in the north bay before the season is over.
PS: My Waterproof Rig for my camcorder came in this week. Gonna shoot some video this weekend. If I catch anything i'll post it.

Onother weekend passed and annother Bust on Stripers. Folks in the North Bay are still suffering the effects of that nasty cold front we had for 3 weeks before the season started. The stripers have not been heavy in the North Bay at all from what I hear.
I gave up and started fishing the Tributary Creeks for Pickerel
Here's some Video I took on Saturdy of a nice 24" Pickerel I Caught.

Maybe this weekend will be a different story but due to the Anual Tourny I'm gonna forgo the Bay and head for something a little less populated this weekend.
The wife and I are planning a trip to Rocky Gourge for some Kayak Fishing fun this weekend. Were gonna try our luck at spring Spawning Largemouth Bass.

Chesapeake Bay fishing this year so far from what I hear has been pretty slack.
The Trophy Striper Season was Crap (at least for the North Bay)
The only thing I'm catching with any frequency is Chain Pickerel.
I'm likly to cut my losses on the bay until mid June and work some of the Bass Lakes.

That would be a huge mistake my fishing friend...???
