I'd like to take my son fishing tomorow. Neither one of us has ever caught a Wiper or a Walleye and we'd both like to change that. We'll have to fish from shore. I was thinking Willard bay but don't know the best spot from shore or even which exit to take and for that matter what works best? Any help would be great!

Here are a couple of shots of our first Black Crappie earlier this month at Pineview.

THANKS! K.F.

Well as for where to go I can not help ypu there. But as far as the exits go if I remember correctly to get to the south Marina you would Take the Smith and Edwards exit off of I-15 and for the north Marina it is I believe the next exit. It is the exit with Flying J I believe it is exit 360 but do not hold me to that.

Nice going on pineview, that looks like a good haul.

good luck

[cool][#0000ff]While I heartily endorse the father-son fishing thing, I'm afraid I can't be too encouraging about your chances of catching much from shore at Willard for awhile. With the low water, mud from the wind and the fluctuating barometer the fish are probably wacko for awhile. Even during the calm periods it has not been fishing well from shore. You need a boat to get out to the deep spots where most of the fish are hanging out.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There will be both more water and warmer water in the next 30 to 60 days. That will bring fish in closer and get them more active. Watch the boards for reports of folks scoring from shore and then go head on.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It is likely to be tough all over this weekend. The weather is mellowing out, but it usually takes the fish a couple of days of calm conditions to become really active again.[/#0000ff]

You are probably right, a few more weeks might be better for Willard. Mabie we'll try Lincoln beach or Deer creek. Gotta get outside!
Thanks K.F.
