This is a picture of the new Idaho state record walleye, mounted by Dan Johnson (Wilderness Taxidermy) Syracuse Utah. The fish wieghed in at 17 lbs. 6 oz.[cool]

What lake or river was the walleye caught from?

It was caught on Oct. 1st 2006 at Salmon Falls. I believe the gentleman's name was Mark Able or something like that. You can go to the Idaho site and get more info on the story. I thought it was a beautiful fish and to see it up close while Dan was mounting it was great. He actually didn't have it quite finished when I took the picture. He had a nice plaque printed below the body mounted on the base. I think it beat the old record by more than a pound. It makes my 30 inch 11 pounder look small.[cool]

some thing like solmon falls. creek dam. some thing like that. its just across the boarder from nevada. some casino,s about 30 min,s away. some realy big rainbows in there as well. their is a walleye hall of fame just up the road. theres some previous state records in the store/ hall of fame.

Thanks for the info PACKFAN and CROSSINEYES. That is one bee-you-tee-full fish! Makes my 7.25 LB walleye that I caught out of WB in 1981 look like a minnow.
