Water temp 52 degrees! Wow! I never thought cats would respond to any thing at that temp. Think I lived in Arizona too long. Probably warmer in all that Utah Lake mud at the bottem, eh?
I have a question how fast do you "drag" your minnow?
Just at a very slow speed? I remember you mentioning that you stop the minnow to let the kitties catch up.
