Fished the big blue lake on Saturday with Reelfast and Wiperslayer. We were on the water a little after 6:30am and headed to the East side because the wind was blowing fairly hard. Since the wind was blowing out of the East we thought it might be a little calmer there. It was a rough ride over but once we were there we trolled for most of the morning only catching one small cutt. When the wind finally calmed down we headed over to ideal beach and tried some jigging with no luck. We headed back to the marina at 11am to pick up Dan's wife, then back to the Rock pile for some trolling. We headed back to the East side for some jigging and picked up another small cutt. Ira hooked up with a nice mack and after some problems landing it, net was too small, we got it on board. Note to self: remember to put the strap on your wrist when landing a big fish with a grabber[crazy]. After measuring & weighing it plus taking a few pictures back in the lake it went. No more fish on that side of the lake so back to the West side where we fished the new rock piles the last hour before we left at 4:30pm. We did manage two more cutts that last hour with one of them being 4 pounds. Ira and I had to leave but Dan and his wife stayed, I'm not sure how they did after we left but I'm hoping they will post a picture of the mack and let us know how they did after we left. Oh yea, the mack was 9.1 pounds and 28.5 inches long. We were seeing water temps around 41*. It was a great day on the water with great friends. Always a blast fishing in Dan's big jetboat[cool]. WH2
