We caught a ton of bluegills and bass at Pelican on saturday.
Most Bluegills were caught on the chartreuse holographic ice Cut'r, it didn't matter if you had bait on the hook or not.
The bass were mostly small with a couple three pounds. The lures of choice were the 3-1/2" cut'r bug in color# 030 and#060 fished on a 1/0 gamakatsu wide gap hook with a 1/8 oz split shot about 18" above the lure, 4" salt stick wacky rigged in color #005 also produced.
Water temp in the morning was 52 deg and by 4pm it was a scorching 62 deg. The bass would of taken top water baits.
